Forced Eviction by TNI
Victims of Occupational Alliance TNI (SROBOT) tried to seek legal certainty of buildings, land and all assets which has been claimed by TNI/Indonesian Military. This claims triggered violence, terror and intimidation againts people before and during the eviction or forced relocation. Indonesian Military/TNI should use legal approach to proof ownership and provide supporting documents for their claim.

Komisi untuk Orang Hilang dan Korban Tindak Kekerasan (KontraS) serta warga komplek perumahan Purnawirawan (Rumpun) Makassar, meminta Menteri Pertahanan dan Panglima TNI untuk menghentikan tindakan Pangdam VII Wirabuana Mayjen TNI Arief Budi Sampurno, yang melakukan upaya pengosongan paksa terhadap rumah purnawirawan yang terjadi di Makassar. Kami mengidentifikasikan pengosongan terhadap 2500 rumah purnawiran (luas kl.90 Ha) yang diikuti dengan tindak kekerasan itu kental kepentingan bisnis. Komitmen TNI untuk tidak lagi berbisnis harus dapat diuji salah satunya dengan dengan menghentikan pengosongan dan membongkar motif dibalik itu.

Song for Mako Tabuni

Activist Mako Tabuni was shot dead by the Indonesian authority for the dubious claim that he was responsible for the series of shootings in Jayapura in May-June 2012. Friends and activists refuted such claim. Irene sang this song for Mako during his funeral on June 16. "Blood flows everywhere, everyday people lie dead," she sang.
