Full Description
Since changing to IVAA, C-Cinema is positioned as one of the research product derived from audio visual documentation materials collected since the late 1990s. Jogja Berhati Mural illustrates public art growth, taking notes specifically on city murals in Yogyakarta.
The process of observation and negotiation are well described by artists, cultural activists, etc. The locals have not much objection on this process as well, since Yogyakarta has always been accomodative when considering art-related-activities.
Application of figurative styles appearing through the medium, as a side effect of street art widespread in mid 2000s have been creating more forms and tags with a more sophisticated techniques. Public art in forms of mural, graffiti or object-sticking on walls have been experiencing extensive encounters with the gallery. Many have thought that this will eventually change the nature of public art in Yogyakarta and some parts of Indonesia. Yet only few argues that public art is a matter of absorbing and applying skills to facilitate others' ideas.
