Angela's relationship with Rashid is making havoc in her household. Her parents though are of Baba-Nyonya descendents, wanted her to date Chinese boys instead. Her best friend, Yati, went to Chinese School and can speak Mandarin where as Angela can't. Angela goes through a learning period of labels, society's stereotypes, expectations and discriminations between love and race.
