by Seelan Palay July 23, 2013
Channel 31 (Australia) is looking for 18-25 year olds who would be interested in participating in their free documentary training program.

Channel 31 is looking for young people from diverse cultures and faiths, aged 18-25, to take part in a FREE documentary filmmaking program at Channel 31 and Youthworx from Mid November 2013 until Mid February 2014 (with Xmas and New Year break)

The young people will be selected on the originality of their ideas and their willingness to be involved.

Starting mid November they will take part in 6 sessions where they will meet with professionals and mentors in the industry and learn the basic skills of filmmaking - documentary. The sessions will involve writing, use of camera, lighting, sound and pre-production.

They will then be supported to produce four short films, in small groups, to be aired on Channel 31 early next year.
