Songs For Tibet

In the foothills of the Himalayas lies the village of McLoud Ganj, home of the Dalai Lama and Tibetan government in exile. Here I found a community of people celebrating their cultural history, keeping the memories of their homeland alive though song and dance. Teaching those traditions to their children, nd teaching their children to treasure them. I was privileged to visit the Youngling Kindergarden where I met the music teacher Tienzen and his little band of tibetan musical prodigies. Little children with big voices. A multimedia showcase of stills and audio.

Full Description

The calm and peace resonates in the mountain air of McLoud Ganj, India. The Tibetans have suffered a grave injustice, yet seem to harbour little anger or resentment. This multimedia showcase is a brief glimpse of some of the beautiful faces and voices I came across in my time spent there.
