The Pilliga - NOT FOR SALE!
On Friday 28 October, two Wilderness Society campaigners dropped a banner proclaiming “Pilliga Forest Not For Sale” from the Shangri-La hotel in Sydney where Eastern Star Gas shareholders were voting today on the takeover bid by Santos. Meanwhile, more than 40 Wilderness Society activists protested out the front of the building to tell prospective owner Santos to ditch plans to drill for coal seam gas in the Pilliga forest.

Wilderness Society campaigners were also present inside the meeting where they asked several questions of the board before donning T-Shirts saying "Pilliga Forest Not For Sale" and storming out of the meeting.
