Bolivian city of Cochabamba will be the venue for the World Summit for Climate Change from April 19th to April 22nd 2010, announced Bolivian President Evo Morales. The summit, organized as a world conference of social movements, will operate as a response to the failure of the 15th Summit on Climate Change, recently held in Copenhagen.
"Cochabamba will be the scenario for diverse social movements to discuss about the consequences global warming brings about, how we harm our environment and every single hazard jeopardizing planet Earth," explained Morales when addressing the press.

I have an increasing interest to attend the Summit, as the days go by. Being a close follower of world events that have led to an ever-increasing protests against the 'real culprits' of the advent of world eco crisis's. Bolivia, might well be the IDEAL place to hold such a summit. The circumstances couldn't be more appropriate. Having an Indigenous President being himself an environmental activist, (as most Indians have been), Bolivia and Morales could well lead a planetary movement that proclaims and sets into fusion the plights of the poor and the future planetary plight of all peoples in this world ecological crises, and that will ultimately affect about every single human on Earth. It's about time that the selfishness of "hoarding" countries, that require huge amounts of natural resources to mainatin their "outdated luxurious styles of life, to change". To let through the feeling of a "New World", such as a "Brave New World" that will ultimately demand for all humans to be braver and more human, and have the audacity to give up materialism. Materialism, has proven to be the harbinger of most of the world's ills, such as obesity, crime, corruption, injustice, diseases, and plagues. And can you believe it? Great portions of Earth's peoples still defend this disease.
I was born and raised in Bolivia, and it is my desire to be present and collaborate with the translation's and interpretations of the transcripts of subject's covered and which will be needed to be forwarded to English speaking nations. I work as a Spanish Translator/Interpreter in the Greater Washingon DC area (No. Virginia and MD).
