Environmentally concerned schoolchildren join the internationally celebrated 'Chinmaya Dunster and the Celtic Ragas Band', to read their poems about nature at this multimedia 'CONCERT FOR INDIA'S ENVIRONMENT'in Pune, India in 2004.
The film blends scenes from the concert, with poems from Indian schoolchildren and interviews with environmentalists. Plus footage of wilderness inhabitants (human and animal) from India.
It's message is that raising awareness about conservation depends on CARING about nature, and appreciating its beauty. Individual scenes focus on, for example, education, women, the sacred groves tradition.
The full film runs for 45 minutes ("A Sense of Wonder" is the first scene), plus extras. language is English, with subtitles in English where necessary. A Hindi subtitle version is currently under production.
The whole project was made budget-free. Everybody involved gave their time and skills for nothing. It will be made available free online and as DVD/VCD hard copy.
