Prison and Paradise (trailer)
This film explores Indonesian Islam, the practice of jihad, and radical Islamic movements. Filmmaker Daniel Rudi Haryanto interviewed some of the convicted Bali bombers before their executions, their children, and a former student, turned journalist, of the recently convicted Abu Bakar Ba'asyir. Haryanto explores the fundamental questions of Islam in Indonesia and how jihadis address US foreign policy.

Full Description
The Bali Bombing on October 12, 2002 left us with a great debate about the fundamental questions raised above. This film invites you to look closely from the main subjects of the first Bali bombings. What is the future like for the orphans of the first Bali bombing convicts? What will happen to the alleged perpetrators? They embrace the same religion, the same prayers, same books, worship the same God. Will they have the same view of Jihad?
Noor Huda Ismail, a former Washington Post reporter, who is also an alumni of the Al Mukmin Ngruki Islamic Bording School and a disciple of Al Ustadz Abu Bakar Ba'asyir, tried to bridge this problem with the idea of reconciliation. Is there actually TERRORISM in Indonesia?
The full length feature goes for 93 minutes. The film was screened at the Dubai International Film Festival, and it will be screened in cities in Australia and Indonesia starting in August 2011.
