Nature’s Investment Bank
Marine protected areas can contribute to poverty reduction. In a preview of this documentary, a local leader from Waiqanake, Fiji tells in his own words how marine protected areas have improved his community's wellbeing and helped reduce poverty. "Nature's Investment Bank" is a companion to a quantitative and qualitative analysis of more than 1,000 interviews and group discussions in four countries that show how specific marine protected areas have contributed to local poverty reduction.
