Danish Police search protesters on way to Cop15

by Emily Braham last modified Apr 30, 2010 07:54 AM
Danish police appear to be escalating efforts to scrutinise protesters at the global climate conference in Copenhagen, searching a Eurolines bus on its way from Brussels yesterday.

Protesters on board a Eurolines bus to the Danish capital for Cop15 were stopped and searched by police, according to Indymedia. http://indymedia.dk/articles/1457

Passangers had their bags searched and in one case a diary read to gather "a thorough" picture of the individual.

Thousands of activists are expected to descend on Copenhagen ahead of the global day of action on Saturday, <http://www.globalclimatecampaign.org/> halfway through the climate change summit.

There were no arrests made and nothing confiscated.
