Full Description

A size bigger than the Netherlands and Belgium put together is under waters in India, with more than 3 million people affected and the situation in Bihar was only getting worse - without any concrete action on the part of the government.

As the earth is warming, Himalayan glaciers are loosing volume at an increasing rate - and will lead to flash floods from the melt water , and soon after the melting the perennial rivers of India will dry out.

The Himalayan glaciers provide fresh water to about 40% of the world's population, and with these rivers becoming seasonal, India is going to be worst affected.

Himalayan glaciers are an inherent part of India's life support system and their retreat provides compelling evidence of the need to act urgently on the pressing issues of climate change. It is clear and there is overwhelming evidence and consensus that the Himalayan glaciers will all but disappear by the middle of the century or even sooner - under business as usual, but it is clear that it is time to get our act together to avoid the most damaging consequences.

This video, through the flood victims on Bihar, tries to bring attention to the fact that these natural disasters are no linger isolated incidences, but consequences of Climate Change, and we must take some concrete action NOW!
