The Melbourne Social Forum (MSF) facilitates social change and explores alternatives in the interest of social justice and ecological sustainability. Plans are already underway for the 2009 Forum to be held from 17-19 April and everyone is welcoming to come along to the organisers meeting.

Film Competition Screenings & Awards Night, hosted by actor and filmmaker Ian Dixon, take place on Tuesday 9 December, 7pm (Best of Documentary Shorts) & Wednesday 10 December, 6.30pm (Best of Narrative Shorts & Awards Night) at Cinema Nova. Come along and watch a great selection of short films – you’ll get to vote for your favourite films and there'll be plenty of great door prizes to be won!

Plug in TV have been offered the opportunity to have a tent at the Sustainable Living Festival (SLF), 20-22 Febuary 2009 at Federation Square, to do integrated webcasting. This means Plug in TV would be a demonstration media lounge for fully integrated grassroots media webcasting. Plug in TV organisers would really appreciate volunteer assistance on any or all of the three days of the event. Volunteers will be provided with both editing training and compression training.
