The early entry deadline for Citizen Media: A Global Innovation Competition, run by Ashoka Changemakers with the support of Google, is quickly approaching. Enter by August 3rd and you will be eligible to win an early entry prize of US $500.

Entering early also allows you to take full advantage of the Changemakers community.  Interact with other innovators, join a group, or read and comment on entries.  The earlier you enter, the sooner you get visibility from our community of innovators, enthusiasts, media and investors.

The top four solutions will each win a US $5,000 prize. The most competitive entrants will also be considered for an Ashoka Fellowship — complete with a three-year living stipend, international recognition, and access to a network of systems-changing social entrepreneurs. The final deadline for entries is September 14th.

We saw it as a great opportunity. We did not enter the competition with the goal of winning the prize money –

we actually entered with the intent of meeting other professionals in our field – and that, without a doubt, has been the most valuable take away from the competition… The prize was really just the icing on the cake.
