Nominate your labour video of the year!

by EM News last modified Mar 20, 2011 12:13 AM
For the second year in a row, LabourStart is sponsoring a Labour Video of the Year competition, open to trade unionists and film-makers from around the world.

Cast your vote for LabourStart's Labour Video of the Year Competition 2011. (To see last year's winners, click here.)

Videos submitted must ...

  • be on the web
  • be less than three minutes long
  • focus primarily on work, workers or worker's issues

You do not have to be the owner or producer of a video to nominate it.

Please submit your nominations before midnight GMT on 15 April 2011.

Our international panel of judges will prepare a shortlist, with voting expected to take place in May 2011.

Winners will be announced after two weeks of online voting.

The producer of the overall winning video will receive a subscription to IMDB Pro, worth $100. Runners up -- winners in the various categories -- will get recognized, included in the LabourStart global solidarity conference screening and are recommended to labor film festivals around the world.

Click here to see which videos have already been nominated. Videos can be nominated only once - multiple submissions will be rejected.
