Avian influenza is a zoonotic disease that attacks poultry and can be passed on to humans. The virus can spread through direct contact with birds, as well as through water, tools and different materials. For that reason, biosecurity measures must be taken to control the spread of the virus in this Makassar, South Sulawesi case.
