15th - 17th February 2008
FEDERATION SQUARE MELBOURNE
Right in the heart of the city of Melbourne, the
Sustainable Living Festival is a three-day celebration of cultural
innovation and creativity.
The Festival draws together
diverse approaches that focus on social and ecological sustainability.
Staged at Federation Square, this unique event fuses interactive
displays, demonstrations, artworks, exhibits, designs, films,
multimedia and live performances.
Together we present a rich
program that aims to increase awareness of sustainability, and creates
new opportunities of expression and communication for individuals and
groups to accelerate the uptake of sustainable living.
"The
Sustainable Living Festival is a manifestation of a commitment to
healing our environment, a demonstration of diverse proposals for
changing our behaviour and reducing the damaging impact we are having."
Dr Moss Cass, Australia's first environment minister, SLF patron
