Full Description
Shot inside the reclusive country of Myanmar both during and after Cyclone Nargis, the reports provides an exclusive look at the dire situation the country still faces six months after the disaster. The little known story of those who stepped up and helped while the international community was locked in a diplomatic standoff at the border is given focus, particularly important as many of these individuals have now been sentenced to long term jail sentences for their humanitarian work. The video piece takes the viewer from the streets of Yangon, through the Irrawaddy Delta, and finally to the Thai/Myanmar border and the Karen Border camps to tell the story.
