On 25 October 2015, the Lani Singers performed at the Cambridge Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology as part of a day themed, 'Knowing West Papua'.
The spiritual Lani Singers' songs of freedom left the audience greatly moved and inspired by the music and message of the band. Benny Wenda also gave a talk at the event on his story, the terrible situation in West Papua and the ongoing struggle for freedom.
This was followed by a video about West Papuan cultural artifacts. There was also an art exhibition featuring the importance of music in West Papuan culture and the independence movement. Performing with the Lani Singers was the Koerni family, also from West Papua, who sang songs on liberation. The two groups closed the event together with a well-known West Papuan song.
