Baxter 2003
Baxter Detention centre is located 12km from Port Augusta in South Australia. It is the Australian government's latest initiative in detaining asylum seekers and refugees without charge or trial. Over Easter 2003 people from around Australia coverged on the centre to highlight the injustices against detainees and to let them know that not all Australians support the Federal government's policy of mandatory detention.
