Merauke is on the rise. Investors pour money in this southern city. People from outside of Papua has continued to flock the town, marginalizing the local indigenous population. Despite all the developments, HIV/AIDS is still on the rise also. Although education and campaigns on the deadly virus continues to be broadcasted throughout the area, sufferers of the virus still face discrimination everyday. And the ones suffering the most are the children, both children who are HIV positive, as well as those who have lost parents to the deadly virus.
