Full description
Ziggy had already spent a busy day at the State Library and elsewhere before arriving at the GPO at about 5pm. So too the choir, which had toured the city at lunchtime before re-forming at the State Library at 5pm.
The performance there was in the nature of a warm-up, and in fact the numbers as well as the confidence of the performers had increased markedly by the time they launched into harmonies not usually be associated with a strong political message - hard to say what Monteverdi would have made of it, but the substantial crowd was enthusiastic. And Ziggy kept nodding in the background.
