From the World Social Forum to the Melbourne Social Forum
In just 4 years over 160 social forums have been held in over 120 cities around the world. Where did such a dynamic process come from? This documentary looks at the emergence of the World Social Forum, from the perspective of one of its founders, Chico Whitaker, and highlights the local Melbourne Social Forum's significance to the community. Through various interviews the meaning and rationale of the social forum process is contextualised.
