Down by the docks revisited.

by Peter Vaughan last modified 2007-12-12 20:46

Back in 1997 Howard’s 1st step on the road to “Work Choices” was to support Patrick Corporation in its attempt to remove unions representation from Australia’s wharves. That action supported by the Australian Farmers Federation included the training of para-military mercenaries to forcefully take the jobs of unionists. Eventually the actions where defeated by the union in court. Prior to the last election Howard’s team revisited the issue creating an ad with a unique view on history.
