A major focus of the conference is to invite participants to exchange ideas and experiences about human rights, questions of peace and their implications across these fields. The conference is interdisciplinary as well as activist in approach.

This international conference is for everyone who cares passionately about human rights and peace, and who wish to activate/re-activate human rights and peace and their importance in the twenty-first century.

From July 4 - 5, the conference will be hosting the 'Activating Human Rights Film Festival'.  The two day festival will showcase a combination of documentaries, animations and short films from International and local filmmakers.  The films will seek to provide an entertaining, insightful and provocative awareness of human rights issues.
