On the 16th of December 2008, 13 Forest and Climate Activists in Tasmania shut down the Gunns Ltd owned Wood chip Mill at Triabunna in Southern Tasmania. This resulted in 13 activists being sued by Gunns and a counter claim being lodged by Activists against Gunns Ltd. Read more…

A short film showing the GetUp climate torch arriving at Camp Florentine, a long-term forest blockade in the Upper Florentine Valley, Tasmania. The torch is run through the ancient forests of the valley, which are under immediate threat from powerful woodchipping interests, and travels 50 metres up an old growth eucalypt to be handed over on one of Camp Florentine's many tree-sits.
