Full Description
Although numbers were down on the protest the previous year, the estimated 300 people marched to the front car park of the power station where they erected a symbolic solar power tower with some 170 heliostats. A variety of speakers and entertainment was also provided.
There was a substantial police presence almost equalling protester numbers which included water police, mounted police, dog squad, police air wing (helicopter), motor cycle police, and search and rescue.
The event was one of over 8000 organised around the globe to take some direct action on tackling climate change promoted by 350.org
