Memefest 2008: Call for Submissions

Memefest is a festival of radical communications which holds an annual competition for radical and innovative use of media. The regular competition has three main divisions open to students: Communications Studies, Sociology and Visual Arts. The "Beyond category" is not just open to students but any artist, activist, malcontent or media manipulator can enter.

Full Description

The theme for the 2008 Memefest competition is "Radical Beauty/Subversive Beauty." Applicants are encouraged to enter their projects in the various categories of Communication Studies, Sociology, Visual Arts and (for non-students) Beyond. All applicants will be will be submitted to an international jury and short-listed applicants will receive feedback on their projects and exposure within the Meme festival. One of the jurors for this years festival is Kevin from Minutes to Midnight and the winning entries willl be published within this zine.
