Tassie's precious native forests are being trashed. We're fed up with it. And retailers are profiting from this native forest destruction when they could source their products from plantation timber. So we made the biggest banner ever in Tasmania, maybe the biggest in Australia, to give Harvey Norman the message loud and clear, even louder than their tv ads. Read more…

Last descent - Upper Meander River (Tasmania)

In July 2006 two paddlers set off at daybreak to paddle the upper section of the Meander River knowing that it may be their last chance to see this free-flowing river before a dam is constructed. However it was already too late - dam construction had commenced and as the paddlers emerge from the dim light of dawn they find the river turns into a construction site where workers - already busy early on a saturday morning - evict us from the river due to safety concerns.
