OPEN CHANNEL
OPEN CHANNEL is a screen resource centre based in Docklands, Melbourne. It provides public access to equipment & facilities, training and professional development, production initiatives and production advice/support services. OPEN CHANNEL assists screen practitioners, encouraging the use of the moving image to facilitate deeper communication and understanding of cultural and social differences. Its prime role is to assist entry level filmmakers to gain experience across the full spectrum of screen production.

VIDEO SLAM is a Creative Commons production workshop from OPEN CHANNEL being held during Arts Law Week in Melbourne. OPEN CHANNEL is calling for registrations from willing participants who will spend 48 hours at Horse Bazaar producing a 10 minute short from only Creative Commons licensed content.
