On Thursday 29 October 30 people protested outside BHP Billiton's Head Office in Perth. The action took place to highlight the concerns around BHP Billiton's proposed Yeelirrie uranium mine in the Mid West of Western Australia as well as the ongoing 'radioactive racisim' that has existed since the military and civilian arms of the nuclear industry began in Australia. The action also took place at the same time as BHP Billiton's AGM in London in solidarity with Colombian community who were attending the meeting to voice their concerns around BHP Billitons Cerrejon Coal Mine on their lands.
