Last week, we released beta versions of the new EngageMedia.org home page and Video.EngageMedia.org (our new social issue video platform).
The previous version of EngageMedia.org, which had been around for 14 years, served as both a video sharing site, and our ‘About Us’ brochure site. The updated version of EngageMedia.org serves as that brochure site, our blog, and a portal to the other main communities and spaces we are convening, including the new Video.EngageMedia.org.
Video.EngageMedia.org contains more than 4,000 videos from our previous Plumi powered website. We worked closely with the developers of MediaCMS, a new Django-based content management system for video and other rich media content.
MediaCMS has many of the features people expect from today’s video-sharing sites, and with development still ongoing, there’s a lot more on the way.
Both sites are still in beta — expect updates and improvements to come gradually. And if you have any feedback — such as bugs you’d like to report or features you’d like to request — please let us know using the contact form below.
Thank you for your continued support, and we hope you enjoy the new sites!
