The 21 film finalists of the 4th Quisumbing-Escandor Film Festival for Health (QEFF), a competition and film caravan dedicated to highlighting humanity behind pertinent health issues in the Philippines, are now streaming on Cinemata.

With the theme Bilang Nilalang (Reduced to Numbers), the featured short films and documentaries in QEFF highlight the experiences of Filipinos during the COVID-19 pandemic. From stories of health frontliners and patients to individuals struggling with lockdown measures, the festival aims to show the uniquely human stories behind the pandemic statistics.

The films can be viewed for free on QEFF’s profile page on Cinemata, or by scanning the QR code below.

Since QEFF’s inception in 2008, showcased films have been used by policymakers, educators, and advocates to raise awareness and start conversations on important health issues in the Philippines.

The film festival is co-presented by the Philippine Department of Health, the Cultural Center of the Philippines, the Film Development Council of the Philippines, and the University of the Philippines-Manila. EngageMedia, through Cinemata, is the festival’s video streaming partner.
