Registrations Open: Thailand Digital Security Localization Sprint

EngageMedia is inviting changemakers in Thailand to participate in a localization sprint to contribute to the development of localized digital security tools and resources.

The sprint will be held on February 18, 2023, from 10:30AM to 3:30PM at NapLab Chula, Bangkok. The program is open to civil society advocates, technologists, and students who are interested in learning more about digital security and applying their language skills by making tools and guides available in Thai. The sprint will also be an opportunity for localizers to plan and strategise ways of sustaining localization efforts to continue supporting civil society and activist communities in Thailand.

Participants can expect to know more about the localization process, how to use various tools for localization, and what digital security tools and guides can be localized. See the agenda on Cryptpad at https://3n9493.com/l10nbkkpad.

The initiative is part of EngageMedia’s Localization project, which aims to enhance the effectiveness of digital security initiatives in Southeast Asia by providing and promoting resources tailored to cultural and linguistic contexts.
