Coconet is a network and platform for digital rights movement-building in the Asia-Pacific. Its online hub is Coconet.social, where partners and members of the Coconet community produce and publish regional content on digital rights awareness, advocacy, and activism.

RightsCon Southeast Asia brought together civil society, engineers, activists, lawyers, companies, and governments on the subject of the internet and human rights in Manila in March 2015.

"Pretty Good Podcast" is a video podcast on mainstreaming digital rights in the Asia-Pacific by amplifying regional voices and linking regional experiences and news to broader digital rights discussions. The podcast is produced primarily using free and open-source software.

Bhinneka Tinggal Duka? (Diversity Leaves Grief?) looks at the rising tide of religious intolerance in Indonesia. In 2012 EngageMedia partnered with a coalition of groups to run a film competition and produce a compilation of Creative Commons licensed videos and education materials for feminist, queer and diversity activists to use in their campaigns for greater tolerance.

EngageMedia undertakes a range of research initiatives focused on video for change, open and secure technology, and digital rights.
