EngageMedia has and continues to be involved in various projects on digital safety in the Asia-Pacific. In these initiatives, there is a strong emphasis on the use of and training on free and open-source software (FOSS), as well as secure communication tools that can be used by changemakers to better enact their advocacy.
Our projects on digital safety primarily involve (but are not limited to):
- Capacitating changemakers with knowledge, skills, abilities, and resources, such as our Digital Hygiene 101 guide
- Convening local and regional networks working in digital safety
- Field-building and space-making, both online and offline.
