TAM DokyuFest 2025 returns to Cinemata for its third online run, featuring 16 powerful student documentaries exploring the many faces of truth. Catch the festival online from May 17 to 27 and support the next generation of Filipino storytellers.

From June 5 to 8, Cinemata Currents 2025 gathers filmmakers, organizers, and audiences across the Asia-Pacific for a hybrid film festival rooted in civic imagination. Featuring powerful films, live talkbacks, and community-led workshops, the festival explores how cinema can reflect, resist, and reimagine from the margins.

The 13th Chaktomuk Short Film Festival, running from October 25 to 28, 2024, will highlight independent short films from Cambodia and diverse narratives from Southeast Asia.

At this year’s DaangDokyu: A Festival of Philippine Documentaries, EngageMedia co-presents two documentary masterclasses and a roundtable discussion on the state of Philippine media. The festival proper is divided into six main sections, in which select Filipino films are grouped and screened according to the following weekly themes: Martial Law, Ecology, Nation, Taboo, Localities, and Futures.

EngageMedia’s short documentary “Shooting COVID-19: Media Frontliners in Manila” has been chosen to be part of a special online screening at the 32nd Gawad Alternatibo film competition, a part of the Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival by the Cultural Centre of the Philippines (CCP). The documentary is one of three films under the program, “Quarantimes Chronicles, Documentaries, and Film Essays”.
